The building was born in the 1960s, when Peniche was growing around its port and fishing trade. The solid masonry load-bearing walls — which today keep it quiet and thermally stable — were kept; everything else was renewed: plumbing, electrics, thermal- and acoustic-insulated windows, kitchen and bathroom.
The result is a calm, bright, practical home, minutes from the sea, the schools and the ESTM Polytechnic of Leiria.
