A peninsula with waves for every level, good for beginners. Lagide, a more demanding reef break, is in the same area, next to Baleal Norte.
Supertubos

One of Europe's most famous waves, usually host to a WSL Challenger Series event. Powerful, fast break — for experienced surfers.
Consolação

Same area as Supertubos, with a gentler wave — good if you're still learning.
Best time to surf in Peniche
The most consistent seasons are September to November and March to May, with northwest swell. Summer waves are generally smaller, good for beginners; winter brings bigger, more demanding conditions. Always worth checking the day's conditions with a local school or forecast before picking a spot.
